CFD/Application Support Engineer - Various Locations

As part of our continued growth and expansion we are seeking highly motivated CFD engineers to join our team working on advanced simulations, providing technical advice and assistance to our customers in all aspects of their engineering analysis that involve the use of CD-adapco software. At this point, we are particularly interested to hear from engineers who have a combustion analysis background.

Working under the supervision of a Technical Support Manager, the successful applicant will provide highest quality pro-active engineering analysis support and problem solving to a wide range of customers. We encourage our engineers to work closely with our customers and become involved in a wide range of engineering analyses. The duties associated with this position will therefore include assistance with understanding initial engineering analysis problems, introduction of best practices, solving specific code related issues such as meshing, running the CFD analysis, troubleshooting run-time issues, and post-processing engineering results. Excellent communication skills and a desire to work with customers on engineering analysis issues are critical to success in this fast-paced and broad engineering role. The position may also require travel to customer sites on a periodic basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The position normally requires the applicant to have a minimum of a Masters Degree in an Engineering discipline. Candidates with applied engineering industry experience using CFD tools in a research, design or manufacturing group are encouraged to apply. Experience in using STAR-CCM+ and/or STAR-CD products would be a distinct advantage.

Minimum Requirements:

  • MS Degree, or greater, in Engineering with emphasis on combustion simulation primarily, and fluid mechanics
  • Preferably some Applied Industrial Experience using CFD in a research, design or manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication skills, including presenting
  • CAD modeling software knowledge
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux based computers and related IT
  • Customary use of PC software (Powerpoint, Word, Excel)
