Hardware partners
No discussion of partners would be complete without mentioning the contribution of hardware partners in making STAR-CD accessible on appropriate machines. Confounding Moore's law (computing power doubles every 18 months), parallel computing in the late nineties made high performance computing suddenly more affordable for large CFD cases. We are particularly indebted to certain hardware companies with whom we have worked to optimise the parallel performance of STAR-CD and on generic Linux ports Intel-based parallel clusters.
