Increasingly, simulating systems rather than isolated components may be more realistically represented by not only a single multiphase modeling approach, but the use of several complementary multiphase models working together.

Presenters on the September 18 event will show the wide variety of applications that can be solved using a multiphase toolset. Examples include, the build-up of ice on an aircraft wing, the demisting of a headlamp, the transport of rocks/aggregates, dropping a lifeboat into the sea or the spray painting of a car.

Additional modeling capabilities using a single integrated environment such as the mesh motion models and the possibilities for simulating real systems and applications will be discussed.

Workshops
Houston, TX USA
September 23, 2014

This seminar will feature presentations from leading companies in the marine and offshore industry, as well as experts from CD-adapco. A representative from Houston Offshore Engineering will also be there, discussing VIM analysis of Deep Draft Column Stabilized Floaters.

If you’re interested in discovering more about what’s involved in performing such analyses, the seminar will feature both live demonstrations of STAR-CCM+, and an opportunity to try it yourself, with a hands-on session.

Companies involved with energy-production and power-generation appreciate that their machinery must be efficient, reliable, and durable. To achieve these goals and help ensure ever-higher levels of performance with turbomachinery, engineers continue to rely on and benefit from advances in engineering simulation software.

In this webinar, you will see and hear about real application stories from Dr. Edward (Ed) Bennett pertaining to the design and analysis of water pumps and hydro turbines such as Francis, Kaplan, and Pelton turbines. Based on his work as VP of Fluids Engineering at Mechanical Solutions, Inc., Ed will share details and insights for how his team’s simulations with STAR-CCM+® have helped them improve the robust...
