Online Technical Briefing: September 23 · 10:30 am (London, BST)

Where:Online
Date: 23rd September 2010
Time:10:30am BST

Description:
This free online technical event will demonstrate how the proper use of CFD simulation in the engineering process can greatly improve workflow efficiency. This increased productivity enables rapid design-analysis cycles that minimize the historical lag in prototyping/testing. Attendees will learn how companies have benefited from simulation by 1) limiting costly prototypes/tests, and 2) encouraging innovation during the design process. During the presentation, trainers will demonstrate the approach for running multiple design studies with complex, real-world geometry. Attendees will learn methods for reducing model clean up time that will facilitate getting to engineering analysis quickly. Specific examples shown will focus on handling large computational meshes. Trainers will show techniques for managing and running large models more efficiently. Using a client–server architecture that seamlessly meshes and simultaneously solves and post-processes over multiple computing resources without requiring additional effort from the user. Event attendees will be eligible to receive a 50 hour STAR-CCM+ Power-on-Demand Licence to implement strategies shown during the workshop (subject to terms and conditions). The techniques shown in this webinar apply across a complete range of industry sectors and applications, from thermal management of electronic systems to vehicle under hood simulations to gas turbine analysis.
