Educational Lunch Series: Simulation for The Building Environment, Los Angeles
Please join us June 10 for an educational lunch, highlighting the benefits of Computational Fluid Dynamics for the Building Environment.
Today companies use simulation early in the design process to ensure plans offer a safe, comfortable environment for occupants in the most energy efficient manner possible.
Learn how companies like Arup, Atkins, Atelier 10, Gruner, LW Engineering, Stantec, IES, Norman Disney and Young use simulation from architectural rendering to engineering data analysis.
Presenters will use STAR-CCM+ and complex, real-world geometry to demonstrate the ways to dynamically alter building configurations with little or no manual effort from the user. They’ll conclude by introducing the application of advanced building physics for simulating building and environmental flows, including long and shortwave radiation; occupant comfort; complex glazing; humidity; and condensation.
