 CD-adapco (, a world leader in developing cutting edge simulation software and solutions for a wide variety of complex fluid flow, chemical reactions and heat transfer problems, is looking to expand our team.  As part of our continued growth we are seeking a highly motivated CFD engineer to join our customer support organization to provide technical advice in all aspects of engineering analysis to clients in various industries.

 The Application Engineer is responsible for managing a selected set of customer accounts to ensure the technical success of our software.  They are expected to work closely with customers to understand their engineering workflow and processes and propose solution methodologies and best practices to help customers meet their objectives.  The role includes training and mentoring of customers, assisting sales, providing direct customer support and conducting pro-active initiatives to grow usage within the set of assigned accounts.  Excellent communication skills and a desire to work with clients are critical to success in this fast-paced and broad engineering role. If you are creative, entrepreneurial in nature, and demonstrate good communication skills, we would like to hear from you.   This position may require up to 20 percent travel.

Minimum requirements include:

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, Marine or related field with focus on computational methods and fluid dynamics. Structural methods experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with computational methods, experience in STAR-CCM+ preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
