Position Description:   

CD-adapco is seeking software development professionals with C++ experience in the development of core architecture and API components to contribute to our flagship multi-physics software, STAR-CCM+.  As a member of an experienced team, your responsibility will be to ensure efficient operation and good scaling of both new and existing code on parallel platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in computer science, math or engineering, although exceptional BS candidates will also be considered.  Experience in the following areas is desired:

  •  asynchronous file I/O, self-tuning storage optimizations
  • multi-thread, process, client file access techniques
  •  parallel I/O using MPI-I/O
  • HDF5, CGNS and MatLab file formats
  • storing large finite volume meshes
  • server side data reduction
  •  large transfers of binary data
  • commercial development of large scale object oriented software
  • development and maintenance of core architecture and API components
  • scientific computing
  • expert in C++ and object oriented development

In our search, we will give preferential consideration to those candidates with experience in any of the following areas:

  • parallel file systems eg  Lustre and PVFS2
  • HPC systems, commodity Linux, Cray and others
  • engineering simulation software
  • expertise in writing cohesive, well-structured code
  • an understanding of computer architecture/hardware (particularly parallel)
  • ability to work both independently and as part of a distributed team
