CD-adapco is seeking to hire a Quality Assurance Engineer due to our sustained worldwide growth, in our Lebanon, New Hampshire office.  In addition to possessing the skills indicated here, the successful candidate must be willing to relocate (assistance provided) to within 30 minutes of our offices.

Responsibilities

Strategic

  • Implementation of existing methods and systems of quality management.
    • Test coverage
    • Test impact
    • Quality metrics
    • Root cause investigation
  • Implementation of Software Testing strategies including the execution of System, Integration, and Unit testing to fulfill the quality requirements on our products.
  • Contribute to strategic directions for the entire Quality team including Testers, Analysts, and Engineers.
  • Collaboratively contributes to plans for overall quality improvement, and obtaining signoff from all stakeholders as required.
  • Contribute to projects to improve our investment in various test frameworks.
  • Promote Quality and Testing best practices.
  • Work to enhance our Culture of Quality.
  • Effectively work with a globally dispersed team.
  • Assist Quality Assurance Manager in strategic planning as needed.

Tactical

  • Participate effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Work with other development areas to improve fault prevention higher up the development stream.
  • Promote and execute utilizing best practices.
  • Implement Quality tools.
  • Participate in testing projects as the representative of Quality Assurance.
  • Contribute to Assessment of risk and manage the identified risk.
  • Develop test plans and tests as needed.

 

Essential Skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Quality theories and practices.
  • Comfortable working a matrix environment (i.e. managing by influence).
  • Comfortable working in embedded teams in an Agile environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of multiple operating systems and proficiency in them.
  • Demonstrated proficiency of written and spoken English.
  • Demonstrated participation in a matrix environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in core Quality.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Understanding of the SDLC and Quality’s roles in it.
  • Technical understanding of white box vs. black box testing and its overall impact on a products quality.
  • Demonstrated experienced in delivering testing metrics such as code coverage, test impact, etc.
  • Experience using automation systems such as HP Quality Center, Team Foundation Server, etc.
  • Experience using testing tools such as Junit, Coded UI, Fiddler, Selenium, etc.
  • Experience working in Agile and Waterfall SDLC environments.
  • Experience managing / contributing on quality related projects.

                                                                                                     

Desired Skills

  • Programming knowledge (i.e. has been a programmer at some point).
  • Experience in managing a multi-platform (Windows / Linux) test environment.
  • Experience in the CFD / CAE industry.
  • Enjoys networking with peers in the industry to share best practices.

Minimum Requirements

  • BS in Information Technologies or Computer Science
  • Quality Assurance of 2+ years.
  • Testing 2+ years.
  • Software Development 1+ years (preferred)
