Position Description

CD-adapco is seeking software development professionals with experience in the development of advanced algorithms for solver meshing for our flagship multi-physics software, STAR-CCM+.  As a member of an experienced team, you will develop and maintain cutting edge algorithms for mesh morphing and manipulation.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s or Phd degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related discipline.  Several years in experience in the following areas is desired:

  • mesh manipulation, mesh morphing, moving meshes
  • large mesh deformation, repair of large geometry models
  • computational geometry
  • spatial computing, spatial search
  • expertise in writing cohesive, well-structured code
  • expert in C++ and object oriented development
  • effective verbal and written communication skills


In our search, we will give preferential consideration to those candidates with experience in any of the following areas:

  • engineering simulation software (CAE)
  •  Computation fluid dynamics and finite volume methods
  • an understanding of computer architecture (particularly parallel)
  • able to work both independently and as part of a distributed team
  • scientific computing
  • C++ and other object oriented software
