Over the past decade substantial advances have been made in the modeling of combustion in SI engines. The progress can be attributed to the development of new generation of models which explicitly take into account the fact that SI engine combustion occurs in the wrinkled flamelets regime. Examples in STAR-CD are: the Extended Coherent Flame Model (ECFM) and the Level Set model (G-equation model). New HEEDS portals for es-ice, pro-STAR, and STAR-CD are now available enabling straightforward workflow definitions and MDX for transient in-cylinder simulation with es-ice and STAR-CD. This presentation will describe an automated workflow for the full setup and simulation process along with several workflow and MDX examples for a variety of in-cylinder applications.

誘導加熱式溶解炉では、誘導加熱で金属を加熱し溶融させている。これらを詳細に解析しようとすると、電磁界による発熱と熱流体による放熱を考慮する必要が ある。また、昇温により物性値は刻々と変化して行くため、電磁界と熱流体を双方向で解析する必要がある。そこで、今回、JMAGとSTAR-CCM+を双 方向連携させた解析の実施例を報告する。
