Event Workshops

Advanced CFD Training with STAR-CCM+
June 24, 1:30 - 5:30 (4
CEU/PDH Available)
This class is designed for individuals who already have experience working
with STAR-CCM+ and have completed the Star CCM+ Foundation Training course.
Class trainers will provide instruction from a set of advanced tutorials that attendees can follow in a hands-on session to refine their skills with the STAR-CCM+ toolset. Topics covered will include advanced meshing, surface wrapping, 6-DOF modeling, CAD manipulation and import, and advanced post-processing.
Class mentoring will prepare attendees to derive the most value out of the STAR-CCM+ toolset with the aid of hints and tips from our expert users.
Upon completion of the workshop, attendees will receive a voucher to take an additional online advanced training course in an area of their choice ($500 value).

Introduction to Computational Fluid Dynamics Using STAR-CCM+:
June 24, 1:30 - 5:30 (4
CEU/PDH Available)
This event is designed to introduce individuals, who are maybe new to CFD or CD-adapco software, to the benefits of using the STAR-CCM+ toolset in their design process. Through tutorials, trainers will demonstrate the complete analysis process starting with the import of CAD geometries, preparation of models (surface wrapping), meshing principles, physics set-up, through to post-processing examples for results visualization.
Attendees will get the opportunity to set up a basic problem and explore different methods of applying computational fluid dynamics to their work.
Class mentoring will prepare attendees to have a basic understanding of using the STAR-CCM+ application to address common engineering challenges with-in their own work environment.
All participants will be eligible upon completion of the course to take advantage of a free 30 day software trial (value $1,800).
