STAR-Global Conference Training
March 19, 2012
Amsterdam - NETHERLANDS

STAR-CCM+ v7 Orientation Training

Released at the STAR-Global Conference, STAR-CCM+ v7 is the latest, greatest version of our flagship simulation tool. This half-day orientation training is designed to familiarise you with important new features, including:

  • Simulation Using Overset Meshing: a revolutionary new capability allowing virtually unlimited ranges of motion in single and multi-body moving mesh simulation without the need for costly remeshing techniques.
  • Solution history: a complete framework for the recording and playback of transient and steady state results for after the fact post processing as well as design configuration comparison.
  • Indirect interfaces for heat transfer simulations: non-conformal mapping technology makes the process of simulating heat transfer at fluid-solid interfaces both easier and more robust.

Best Practices: Meshing and Surface Preparation

STAR-CCM+ has an unrivaled reputation for meshing complex geometries. This half day session will provide expert guidance on the latest meshing technology with the aim of demonstrating the fastest route from CAD to high-quality computational mesh.

Best Practices: Modeling Turbulence and Heat Transfer

Almost all industrial fluid mechanics problems involve either turbulence or heat transfer. The aim of this session is to help you to make the most intelligent choices when simulating Turbulence or Heat Transfer, guiding you through the complete process from selecting an appropriate model and choosing the most effective meshing strategy to interpreting simulation results.
