CD-adapco to unveil the latest release of STAR-Pro/E at PTC/User World Event Americas 2006, Dallas, Texas, Booth #316

To find out more about the latest release of STAR-Pro/E, join us for a presentation on Monday, June 5, 2006 at 12:45pm - 1:15pm in session Room: Texas D.

London and New-York June 01, 2006.

CD-adapco, developer of STAR-CD and STAR-CCM+ CFD codes, is pleased to demonstrate the new release of STAR-Pro/E, integrated within the latest version of Pro/Engineer Wildfire 3.0, in Booth #316 at the PTC/User World Event Americas 2006, Dallas, Texas 4-6 June 2006. <>

In today’s highly competitive industry, upfront simulation has become a competitive necessity, allowing users to confirm design assumptions and predict product performance early in the product design process. STAR-Pro/E, part of the STAR-CAD Series, has been created specifically to enable design and project engineers to undertake flow simulation, even if they are lacking experience in traditional Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis. <>

The current release of STAR-Pro/E from CD-adapco is fully embedded within the latest version of Pro/Engineer Wildfire 3.0. Full associativity ensures that any design changes made to your model are reflected at the click of a button making your CFD solution an integral part of Pro/Engineer. The product continues to revolutionize flow simulation by maintaining operability whilst introducing additional capabilities and productivity enhancements.

STAR-Pro/E is used to solve a wide variety of engineering applications and industries. It handles both internal and external fluid flows including conjugate heat transfer problems, rotating machines and porous media. Among the targeted applications, one can find:

  • flow equipments (pumps, nozzles, valves, and compressors)
  • fans and propellers,
  • heat exchangers,
  • household devices (ovens, refrigerators, vacuum cleaners)
  • electronic cooling,
  • ventilation in rooms,
  • HVAC ducts of automotive climate control systems,
  • vehicle aerodynamics and hydrodynamics,
