CD-adapco to demonstrate CFD for Hazard Management at ABSA 06.
New York and London, October 09, 2006
CD-adapco will be presenting their expertise in the numerical simulation of the flow inside Biological clean rooms at the 49th Annual Conference of the American Biological Safety Association, Oct 15-17, Boston Marriott, Copley Place, Boston, MA.
In order to enable the safe treatment of viruses and biological contaminants, a full understanding of the airflow within the clean-room environment is critical. In situ measurement of environmental conditions creates a potential inhalation hazard. Use of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations tools, such as STAR-CD and STAR-CCM+, allows the airflow within a clean room to be accurately predicted, visualized and optimised long before the construction of the building has even started.
CD-adapco’s Dr Aaron Bird will present "The simulation of accidental introduction and release of aerosol contaminant in a biological clean-room environment" at 1.20pm on Wednesday 18th October 2006 as part of Session XIV - Innovative Programs in Biosafety.
