  CD-adapco’s European CFD/CAE Conference, London 2004

February 23, 2004

CD-adapco’s European CFD/CAE Conference on March 15-16, looks set to be an unmissable opportunity for the European CFD community.

Presentations will be given on the latest features and developments of CD-adapco’s CFD/CAE products and services, including the STAR-CD and Comet CFD codes. Special focus will be given on the exciting launch of new CCM (Computational Continuum mechanics) codes, which provide unique benefits in terms of meshing speed and robustness, solving accuracy and speed, quicker turnaround time and multiphysics capabilities.

Emphasis will also be given on providing information on the new CAD-integrated options for STAR-CD and Comet, which are now available integrated into Pro/E and SolidWorks, Catia-5 and UG-NX, enabling users to run a full CFD analysis from within their familiar CAD environment, totally removing the need to learn a new interface. Alternatively, if a CAD model or CAD system is not available, the STAR-Design option provides a Parasolid solid-modeling tool for model-creation offering the same ease of use. All these CAD-integrated versions provide fully integrated CFD capability, with full associativity with parametric CAD models.

Keynote speakers will include Albrecht Pfaff from MSC on ‘Digital Product Development’ and Philip Morris, the leading Aeroacoustician from Penn State University on aeroacoustics modeling. Clients will also have the opportunity to present their successful applications of CD-adapco’s products. These will include Denso, Audi, Nizo Food, Saab Aero, Phillips, Sulzer Innotec, Swift CFD, University of Karlsruhe, Cosworth Racing, DaimlerChrysler, LMS International, Behr Group, Lotus Cars, DCN, Cambridge University, University of Poitiers, Lloyds Register, Opel, Innogy and B & B Agema.

The event is being sponsored by leading hardware vendors, HP, IBM and Fujitsu Siemens, and a highlight of the meeting will include an exhibition featuring hardware and software partner booths. There will also be demo points displaying information and posters illustrating CD-adapco’s latest products and services, as well as live software demonstrations.
