| A new corporate image for CD-adapco November 1, 2004 You may have been baffled by the countdown on our website, which second-by-second has been counting down to midnight, October 31, 2004. It is now time to reveal our closely kept secret to you, which has absolutely nothing to do with Halloween! In fact today is CD-adapco's "rebranding day", the day we have decided to launch our new corporate logo. " Why do we need a new logo" - we hear you ask? Several reasons....... We feel that the old logo is no longer truly representative of our position in the marketplace. With the additions of STAR-CCM+ and the STAR-CAD Series to our family of STAR-branded products it has become obvious that we need a new corporate logo to act as an umbrella to properly capture our expanded range of CAE products and services. To reflect this, 'STAR-CD' no longer appears in the logo (just the word, we hasten to add - the STAR-CD product is alive and well!) and has been replaced with a star-like symbol. After considering over 100 options and following heated internal debates, a final choice has been made. We have also decided that it is time to rebrand the company name as "CD-adapco". By dropping the word "Group" from the logo and adding a hyphen we aim to communicate the fact that the partner companies adapco and CD (Computational Dynamics Ltd) are one company. The launch of the new logo is effective from today, November 1. We believe it reflects both our past and present strong position in the CAE market, and we hope to see the new star-like symbol continuing to shine on your computer screens for years to come as we move forward with our further development of innovative products and services for Virtual Product Development.
