	New interface with Ricardo’s WAVE code A new interface between STAR-CD and Ricardo’s WAVE code has been developed by CD-adapco to coincide with the release of STAR-CD V3.24. WAVE is one of the market leaders in engine performance and one-dimensional gas dynamics software (http://software.ricardo.com/products/wave/). By coupling WAVE and STAR-CD, engineers can optimize the focus of their system simulations, applying STAR-CD to the components where detailed three-dimensional analysis is required, and WAVE to the remainder. The interface is available free of charge as a plug-in library, which can be optionally installed with the default STAR-CD V3.24 installation. Features include: • Simple set up in pro-STAR • User subroutines can be used to customize the interface • WAVE can be run as a child or parent of STAR-CD • Fully integrated into STAR-PNP (*) • Fully compatible with HPC analyses, no constraints on decomposition
