STAR-CAT5 empowers Engineers and Designers with easy-to-use flow simulation, inside the familiar CATIA V5 environment. This allows you to evaluate “what-if” design scenarios quickly and easily, resulting in improved designs, faster to market.

STAR-CAT5 has been specifically developed for Design and Project Engineers. Transparent terminology and intelligent parameter selection allow the user to concentrate on evaluating results and optimizing designs.

In STAR-CAT5, meshing is accomplished at the click of a button. Since the mesh is created directly from the original CAD model, no export is necessary and there is no need to clean any CAD. The boundary conditions and mesh are stored within the CAD part. Design changes, made in response to the CFD results or otherwise, are reflected in the CFD model immediately. Solutions are updated at the click of a button without additional user intervention and are stored within the model, accessible to downstream users.

STAR-CAT5 is built upon CD-adapco’s next generation CFD solution, STAR-CCM+. Its unique Polyhedral cells capability has been proven to deliver more accurate results, faster.

STAR-CAT5 is part of the STAR-CAD Series, which also includes products for Unigraphics NX, Pro/ENGINEER and SolidWorks.
