Environment: NX from Unigraphics

STAR-NX empowers Engineers and Designers with easy-to-use flow simulation, inside the familiar NX environment. This allows you to evaluate “what-if” design scenarios quickly and easily, resulting in improved designs, faster to market.

STAR-NX has been specifically developed for Design and Project Engineers. Transparent terminology and intelligent parameter selection allow the user to concentrate on evaluating results and optimizing designs.

In STAR-NX, meshing is accomplished at the click of a button. Since the mesh is created directly from the original CAD model, no export is necessary and there is no need to clean any CAD. The boundary conditions and mesh are stored within the CAD part. Design changes, made in response to the CFD results or otherwise, are reflected in the CFD model immediately. Solutions are updated at the click of a button without additional user intervention and are stored within the model, accessible to downstream users.

STAR-NX is built upon CD-adapco’s next generation CFD solution, STAR-CCM+. Its unique Polyhedral cells capability has been proven to deliver more accurate results, faster.

STAR-NX is part of the STAR-CAD Series, which also includes products for CATIA V5, Pro/ENGINEER and SolidWorks.
