A flexible choice of import formats

Native, neutral and transmit formats may be used, for direct reading: SolidWorks, CATIA V4 & V5, Creo Elements/Pro, PTC Creo, NX, Inventor as well as PLM XML, 3DXML, JT Open, IGES, STEP, STL, VDA-FS and Parasolid.
Organized data structure for assemblies
Regardless of the complexity of assemblies, when geometries are read into STAR-CCM+, the full assembly structure along with body and surface naming conventions are preserved without the need for time consuming re-organization. Mesh, physics and boundary settings remain associated with the original CAD and so parts and assemblies may be easily swapped in and out to perform what-if studies.
