Should Attend
It is recommended that new users or existing STAR-CD users wishing use STAR-CCM+
should attend.

Aims
The course is aimed as an introduction to the STAR-CCM+ product, covering the
methodology behind the code, and this is illustrated through a number of examples
over the course of the day.

Structure
The course structure is designed to take the User through the setup, computation
and post processing of a number of cases within the STAR-CCM+ environment.
This is done with an opening presentation and then a number of worked examples.

Content
The content of the course, based on the above aims and structure, is as follows;
1) STAR-CCM+ Basics: This section introduces the terminology
used throughout the course and some of the overlying operations in the software.
2) Mesh Import: Covers issues regarding
boundary consideration when importing meshes and also export
from CD adapco meshing product in to STAR-CCM+.
3) Parallel Set up: This section covers
the requirements for parallel calculations, setting up
such a simulation including partitioning and also the benefits
of the client/server methodology
4) Example 1: Transonic Flow over a 2D
blunt body
5) Example 2: Buoyancy driven flow around
a heated fin.
6) Example 3: Rotating fan Workshop
