Who Should Attend

This course is intended for engineers and scientists involved in single-phase heat transfer analysis. Examples include electronics cooling, heat exchangers and vehicle thermal management. Prior experience with STAR-CCM+ is helpful, but is not required.

Course Description

The course begins with a lecture discussing STAR-CCM+ analysis capabilities, including conduction, convection, and thermal and solar radiation. A detailed discussion on the calculation and interpretation of heat transfer coefficients is included. This is followed by two (or three, time permitting) workshops illustrating the use of STAR-CCM+ for common heat transfer applications.
