Who Should Attend

This course is intended for engineers and scientists involved in the design and analysis of rotating machinery. Examples include meshing using the STAR-CCM+ Turbo Wizard, single-stage compressor analysis and marine propeller analysis. Prior experience with STAR-CCM+ is helpful, but is not required.

Course Description

The course begins with a lecture discussing STAR-CCM+ analysis capabilities for rotating machinery, including available motion models, boundary conditions and physical models. This is followed by two (or three, time permitting) workshops illustrating the use of STAR-CCM+ for common rotating machinery applications.
