Course Duration: 1 Days
Prerequisites
Users should be proficient in STAR-CCM+ (No STAR-CCM+ basics will be covered). Users should have a good grasp of programming fundamentals. JAVA™ knowledge is useful, but not required.
Who Should Attend
This training is appropriate for users who wish to take macro development a stage further and begin to generate graphical tools which are seamlessly integrated into STAR-CCM+. The level of JAVA™ knowledge required for this class is provided through the related CD-adapco training class titled: JAVA™ Scripting Process Automation.
Course Description
The goal of this class is to teach attendees the common basics of GUI development in relation to STAR-CCM+. Attendees will learn how to fully utilize interface components and the functionality of STAR-CCM+ in their own user interface add-ons. The link between the STAR-CCM+ API and how this relates to the STAR-CCM+ client will be reviewed since this provides the basis for seamless integration of GUI enhancements and more extensive wizard developments. Version tracking is a key element within the organization of this development and a review is made of the STAR-CCM+ Module Manager and Update Center. Here the various modules (small files which bundle the added functionality and record version number) are displayed to ensure suitability for further distribution to colleagues. The course finishes with the creation of modules for numerous examples created during the course.
Course Content
To ensure engineers are familiar with the necessary tools to begin building interactive graphical user interfaces (GUIs) to streamline their engineering analyses and achieve total customization of their STAR-CCM+ processes.
